you're lucky. I've gotten 1 shard (the last one from chest) when we had heros. (happened on more than one occasion). it sucks! but i'm used to it. I don't expect anything to drop for me. others may be luckier.

I just did a FoW clear in NM last week with a friend (2 man 6 hero). He got 7 shards total, I got 2. Little annoying seeing the 5th shard drop assigned to him, but the overall rates seemed fine.

Yeah this really is just a case of the dice not favouring the OP. Most of the time I get 3 shards (for me) dropped from a FoW clear. It's about 2-3 per team member, on average.

Having said that there have been times when shards were raining down, one lucky guildie came out with 12 dropped for him, the next highest was 5 or 6, and the rest just got the average 2-3.

It's the same with ecto really. Sometimes you get 10 drop (teamwide) and other times you can clear and get nothing.

They do! Or did anyway. I was nicknamed Shard Magnet in my previous guild, as well as other things not suitable for public audiences.

During our 5-6 man FoW runs simply to Forge master I'd usually come away with at least 4-5, while everyone else usually had 2 or so. Never really figured out why that was, but I never complained any.

It was just my drop area, my happy zone, since trust me, things didnt drop for me like that everywhere.

That was a while ago though.

The real problem my guildies and I are having with FOW lately is the amount of FOW scroll drops we're getting out of the end chest. We did a run last night and 3 of us got double scroll drops. One of my guildies has gotten double scroll drops from his last 3-4 FOW runs! That's BS. Drops from the end chest should be changed so you can't ever get more than one FOW scroll.

This is an issue that has me curious as well. I've noticed seemingly less rare drops during events, and I wonder if the event items, though they have an increased drop rate, are added to each areas/monsters drops, or if they replace some of the normal drops.

Say normally: Monster A has x amount of drops, and 15%(x) are rare, do the event items add to the total possible (x+eventitems) so the 15% remains unchanged, so it just seems like less golds in the face of massive event items drops, or do event items, say 50%, replace existing drops thus lowering the rare-rate to 7.5%?

If each hench halved your drop rate they'd be uneven, loot is shared evenly.

As far as I now, event items are just added drops (x+eventitems in your words), because most of the time I'd get a normal drop + an event item.

If this is to be tested, a log should be kept about an entire weekend of hardcore farming during an event and the same amount of farming during a normal weekend. Who volunteers

I did my first clearing of FoW last night with some folks on the German Server. Shards were dropping like crazy. I had 6 before we opened the end chest. Some guys got fewer, but I don't think anyone walked away with less than 4. Some lucky S.O.B. named jabon or something had over 9 before the chest.

Plus I really don't thing the added holiday items affect drops in any way...Meaning you don't get a bunny instead of a shard or weapon or anything else. They are just tacked on to what the monster was going to drop for you. They drop the items+ a bonus chance of egg/bunny.

We had a guild group over the weekend clear FoW. 3 of us got 3 shards, the rest got 2, then a couple of us got 2 from the end chest. So 2 ended up with 5 and 2 ended up with 4. Of course we only ended up with 1 player that got any kind of weapon from the end chest though =\ And it was a q13 tact shield =\

Don't you love how end chests, for all the time and difficulty to get to, usually reward some drop you could have outdone by killing a couple mobs of any lvl 20 monsters? Same thing happens to me all the time.

Exactly my thought. Or, more accurately, I suspect accounts drop more of certain items and less of others, randomly assigned at account creation.

Hmm...The first time I looked into this thread..it made me curious.
Over the last 6 runs..I have recieved a minimum of 5 shards per a full clear (HM)(ritualist)
And the others on my team were lucky to get 1-3.
I wonder if the AR has something to do with it?..or HP?

For the few times, yes few... as in less than 10, that I have been in the FoW, I've seen no change with the amount the party has seen drop. So I'm not the best to account for, but with a lack of being in the FoW, it still hasn't changed that much for shard drops.
